The intention to inject "common sense" into the situation is admirable...but you are up against the most obdurately, ideologically, and intellectually challenged Cabinet Minister...EVER
Any government NOT adopting this is clearly showing who's side they're on. Hint: It's not their electorate's side. How any Chancellor can turn away from this is sacrilege. The revenue income alone should be every chancellors dream never mind the additional income from general taxation of jobs and income from fertiliser products etc. Just the fact that this would give our country energy security for the foreseeable future should be a no brainier. Sadly though, there are many without the brain bit. 🤷♂️
